Welcoming MaCushla

My soul companion MaChree, whom anyone who reads this blog will have heard of, will be gone from us a year tomorrow. Joan, Mahti and I will scatter his ashes tomorrow over all the places at SoulWinds he especially loved, and there are many.

About 6 weeks ago, our vet called out of the blue, saying that someone had dropped a six-month-old kitten at their door. They had had her for two weeks, had spayed her and given her the needed shots, and would I now be ready for another cat? "She is," says the vet, "one of the most engaging and affectionate cats we have had here, and we thought of you."

Introducing MaCushla. This photo was taken 10 seconds after they opened the cage! She is all they said and more. "MaCushla" is an Irish term of affection, meaning "my little sweet one," and she certainly is, though Mahti and herself are taking time to be sure.

More tales of MaCushla to come...

Edith is our mentor and prophet for the times she knows we are trying to let go, be freed from whatever impedes growth, goodness and giving!

And here we are manifesting to each other and the universe! Your poem is soulful, Gina, dealing with the unknowns of each day as they come. Thanks for sharing.
