Finding a Word

In these days between Christmas and New Year's Day, and as I become more conscious of the years I might have left before me, I find myself particularly mindful of an intense simplifying of my life, both materially and spiritually. So one practice I have been working with in these days is inviting a word or two to come into my awareness that pulls me into being more conscious of everyday being and acting.

So far the words that have come are HEART (more than mind), LISTEN (more than speak), and don't give ADVICE (unless it is asked for); also BE PRESENT more than past-ing and futurizing.

The more I turn inner attention to these words, the more energy they carry, and the more I feel them filling me with a fiery reality.

May you who read this and are drawn to this practice invite your own words to emerge from the fiery soul source in each of us...and from the world Herself.
