160 characters! To use so few would be a disservice to what you write and to Delio's work. My response
is both yes and no. Yes, I know that Catholic Ireland and world of which you speak, I have lived in it and yet I was raised to appreciate the value of well thought out dissent. However, some parts of the church are moving from the auto-referential
world of the past, the theological narcissism which pervaded and which is still so evident in Rome and elsewhere.
Of late I have been moving to a place where I can say "This is the day", just today, I will live it as best I can within
all the confines within which I find myself, personally, socially, theologically and ecclesial.

you remind me that I want to explore the actual guidelines for a dissenting conscience, which exist in a formal document. Meanwhile, I rather my days be like yours: "This is the day...whatever is today, is what it is...on all the levels you name.
